Key aspects of 2024:

  • We democratize information on the Just Energy Transition (TEJ) and communicate it strategically.
  • We model and analyze energy and economic transition scenarios, assessing their impacts on Colombia's Just Energy Transition (JET).
  • We support the development and implementation of public policies and regulations for the JET.

Key aspects of 2024:

  • We visualize the potential and needs of the Global South and Latin America in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations, the Conference of the Parties on Climate Change and the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
  • We amplified Latin America's interests in the G20 by making key contributions to raise awareness and identify opportunities for civil society participation.
  • We advocate for the integration of biodiversity protection into international climate negotiations.

Key aspects of 2024:

  • We strengthened capacities for sustainable and resilient financial decision-making by supporting the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) - S2.
  • We improved knowledge within financial institutions on nature-related risks by developing and implementing a learning tool based on the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), building on TCFD developments.

  • Comenzamos a facilitar el monitoreo y la presentación de informes sobre el progreso de la región en el cumplimiento de sus compromisos de transición energética justa (Just Energy Transition – JET) mediante el diseño y desarrollo de una herramienta de monitoreo y evaluación.
  • We provide actionable information to guide the positions, commitments and decision-making processes of governments and civil society actors in implementing the Global Stocktake (GST) energy outcomes and integrating them into their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
